Our story

Our shoes should follow our rhythm, never the other way round.

Cadence was born in Paris from a simple conviction: a woman should not have to choose between the style she loves and the life she leads.

Told by its founder

“Cadence was born from several worlds that shaped the way I see fashion, femininity and movement.

I grew up in a family from the textile world, surrounded by fabrics, cuts and details. Fashion has always been part of my world and, very early on, I understood that it could express far more than appearance: a personality, an attitude, a way of carrying oneself.

For years, I also played the piano. Music taught me discipline, but above all rhythm, nuance and harmony. The same score can be played in a thousand ways — and I believe that idea has never left me.

That sensitivity stayed with me when my life took on a whole new rhythm: that of my career as a lawyer.

I came to know long days, back-to-back meetings, travel and evenings that sometimes extend the working day. A daily life in which shoes carry far more than a silhouette: they follow our days, our movements, the way we move forward.

That is also where I understood what I wanted to create: shoes designed for women whose days are never alike, but who have no wish to give up their style.

Little by little, everything came together.

  • Fashion,
    for style.

  • Music,
    for movement.

  • My daily life,
    for reality.

Cadence was born from that meeting.”

Céline, founder of Cadence Paris

Why Cadence?

In music, a cadence gives a phrase its movement and balance. The perfect cadence evokes that feeling of harmony and inevitability.

But a cadence is also a pace. A rhythm. A way of moving forward.

    A way of carrying oneself

  • Une main ajuste la bride arrière d’une chaussure marron à bout pointu.

    A rhythm

    A way of moving forward

It is this double meaning that gave the brand its name. Because there is no single way to be a woman, to live a day or to find one’s path.

Some move fast. Others take their time. Our rhythms change, and so do our lives.

Style in motion

Cadence designs shoes made to take their place in women’s lives, not just in their wardrobes.

Feminine, contemporary lines, designed to accompany the different moments of a day, with attention paid to materials, proportions, fit and details.

Shoes that give style to a silhouette without dictating that of the woman who wears them.

Because behind every pair lies an idea bigger than the shoe itself.

“I didn’t create Cadence to tell women how to walk. I created it to walk alongside them. In a world that often pushes us to follow the rhythm of others, Cadence stands for the freedom to find your own.”

Céline, founder

To move forward in her own way.
To change her pace.
To chart her own course.

Every woman has her own cadence.
